Client Responsibility Policy
Effective Date: September 2, 2026
Metzger Financial Consulting (“MFC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) believes effective financial counseling and coaching requires clear communication and active participation from both MFC and the client. This Client Responsibility Policy explains the responsibilities clients accept when using MFC’s services.
1. Providing Complete and Accurate Information
Clients are responsible for providing information that is complete and accurate to the best of their knowledge. Clients should promptly inform MFC of significant changes or corrections to information previously provided when those changes may affect the counseling, coaching, education, or strategies being discussed. MFC’s guidance and recommendations are based on the information provided by the client. Incomplete, inaccurate, or omitted information may affect the usefulness or appropriateness of MFC’s recommendations.
2. Participation and Financial Decisions
Clients are expected to participate actively in the financial counseling or coaching process by asking questions, reviewing information provided by MFC, and communicating when they do not understand a recommendation or strategy. MFC may provide education, recommendations, and strategies, but financial decisions remain the client’s responsibility. Clients determine whether and how to act upon information or recommendations provided by MFC.
3. Appointments and Communication
Clients are responsible for attending scheduled appointments on time and using the meeting information provided by MFC. If a client needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, the client should provide at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. Late arrivals, cancellations, and no-shows are handled according to MFC’s Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy. Clients are also responsible for maintaining current contact information and reviewing appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, and other service-related communications from MFC.
4. Client Documents and Sensitive Information
Clients are responsible for providing only documents reasonably necessary for the services requested and should redact unnecessary sensitive information whenever possible. Clients should not provide passwords, PINs, login credentials, complete Social Security numbers, or complete bank or payment-card account numbers unless MFC has specifically identified a legitimate need and an appropriate secure method for providing the information. Clients are responsible for reviewing documents before submitting them to MFC and removing information that is not necessary for the requested service.
5. Technology and Virtual Services
MFC services are provided virtually. Clients are responsible for maintaining reasonable access to the internet, compatible technology, and the meeting information necessary to participate in scheduled appointments. Clients should make reasonable efforts to test or address known technology issues before an appointment. Technology problems originating on the client’s side do not automatically qualify as an MFC cancellation or refund and will be handled according to MFC’s Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.
6. Respectful and Appropriate Use of Services
Clients are expected to communicate respectfully with MFC and use MFC’s services for their intended financial counseling, coaching, and educational purposes. Abusive or threatening conduct, harassment, suspected fraud, misuse of services, or repeated violations of MFC’s policies may result in services being refused, discontinued, or terminated. Any payment or refund issues resulting from termination of services will be handled according to MFC’s Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, and applicable law.
7. Questions About Client Responsibilities
Clients who have questions about their responsibilities or any MFC policy are encouraged to contact MFC before booking or continuing services.
