Metzger Financial Consulting (“MFC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of its clients and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how MFC collects, uses, protects, retains, and shares personal information obtained through the MFC website, booking and payment processes, communications, and financial counseling and coaching services.

1. Information We Collect

 

MFC may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you use the website, contact MFC, create an account, complete a form, book or purchase a service, participate in financial counseling or coaching, or otherwise communicate with MFC.

  • Communicate with clients regarding services, appointments, payments, and other operational matters;

  • Review information and documents provided by clients in order to develop appropriate education, strategies, and recommendations;

  • Process payments and maintain appropriate business records;

  • Provide between-session support to eligible coaching clients;

  • Improve MFC's services and client experience;

  • Protect against fraud, misuse, or other improper activity; and

  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping requirements.

MFC will not use a client's name, image, testimonial, financial circumstances, disability-related information, or other identifiable personal story for marketing purposes without separate permission from the client.

3. Payment Information

Payments for MFC services are processed through third-party payment service providers. MFC does not directly store complete payment-card numbers or other complete payment credentials submitted through those payment processors.

 

Payment providers may collect and process information necessary to complete a transaction, such as payment-card information, billing information, transaction details, and other information required to authorize and process payment.

 

MFC may receive and retain limited transaction information, such as the amount paid, service purchased, payment status, transaction date, and other information reasonably necessary for billing, refunds, accounting, and business recordkeeping.

4. Website and Technical Information

 

When you visit the MFC website, certain information may be collected automatically through the website platform and related technologies. This may include information such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, date and time of access, and general website activity.

 

MFC may use this information to operate and maintain the website, understand how visitors use the site, improve website functionality and user experience, and help maintain the security of the website.

 

The MFC website may also use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for website functionality or used for analytics and other permitted purposes.

5. How We Share Information

 

MFC does not sell clients’ personal or financial information.

 

MFC may share personal information only when reasonably necessary to:

 

  • Work with service providers that support MFC’s website, scheduling, payment processing, communications, or other business operations;

  • Provide services requested or authorized by the client;

  • Protect MFC, its clients, or others from fraud, misuse, or other harmful activity; or

Service providers may receive only the information reasonably necessary for them to perform their services for MFC.

6. Sensitive Information and Client Documents

 

Clients should avoid providing unnecessary highly sensitive information through the MFC website, booking forms, email, text messages, or other ordinary communications.

 

Clients should not provide passwords, PINs, login credentials, complete Social Security numbers, or complete bank or payment-card account numbers unless MFC has specifically identified a legitimate need and an appropriate secure method for providing the information.

 

When providing financial documents, clients should redact unnecessary sensitive information whenever possible. This includes Social Security numbers, complete account or card numbers, passwords, PINs, and login credentials.​

7. Session Recordings

 

With the client’s prior consent, MFC may record virtual sessions for quality assurance, service improvement, and accurate follow-up.

 

Clients may decline recording without losing access to MFC services.

 

Recordings will generally be retained for no longer than 30 days and then deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law or another arrangement has been specifically agreed upon.

 

Consent to recording for these purposes does not authorize MFC to use a recording for advertising, testimonials, social media, public distribution, or other marketing purposes.​

8. Data Retention and Security

 

MFC retains personal information and client documents only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain legitimate business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and fulfill other legitimate business purposes.

 

MFC takes reasonable administrative and technological measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

 

However, no website, electronic communication, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Clients should use appropriate caution when transmitting personal or financial information electronically.

9. Your Privacy Choices

 

Clients may contact MFC to request that their contact information be updated or corrected or to ask questions about personal information maintained by MFC.

 

Clients may also opt out of promotional email or text communications where applicable. Opting out of promotional communications does not prevent MFC from sending communications reasonably necessary to provide requested services, such as appointment confirmations, reminders, receipts, scheduling information, or other service-related notices.

 

Requests concerning personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable law and legitimate business and recordkeeping requirements.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy and Contact Information

 

MFC may update this Privacy Policy as its services, technology, and business practices evolve. The current version will be posted on the MFC website with an updated effective date.
